10-Day Residential Workshop on Sustainable Ecotourism and Homestay Operations
The 10-Day Residential Workshop on Sustainable Ecotourism and Homestay Operations, a collaborative initiative of Balipara Foundation and Assam Skill University, conducted by Department of Tourism, Assam Skill University concluded successfully with a valedictory ceremony on July 29th, 2026.
The co-ordinators of this Workshop were Dr. Shapna Medhi and Dr. Paridhi Brahma, Assistant Professors, Department of Tourism, ASU.
The concluding ceremony was graced by the Shri Subhash Chandra Das, IAS (Retd.), hon'ble Vice Chancellor of Assam Skill University, Prof. Manoj Kumar Deka, Dean (Academics), along with Prof. Mahesh Uniyal, HoD, Department of Tourism, ASU, Ms. Nayanika Dutta, Lead – Forums & Digital Communication, Dr. Bidyut Sarania, Lead – Research & Development , Dr. Manashi Das Purkayastha, HoD, Department of Food Technology, ASU, and faculty members from the Department of Applied Management, ASU who also took valuable technical sessions and enriched the workshop.
Participants shared encouraging and positive feedback about their learning experience and were awarded certificates upon successful completion of the programme. Certificates were also presented to the resource persons in recognition of their valuable contributions.
